The Challenge
The work area around the Entry and Exit shafts of receiving pits had a high groundwater table and needed to be kept dry 24/7. Discharge to sensitive creek environment was challenging as the water contained several contaminants of concern that changed throughout the project.
Our Solution
- High flow treatment systems installed in two separate locations
- 24/7 monitoring and management of treatment systems
- Treatment of multiple contaminants – Hydrocarbons, VOCs, and Heavy Metals (Al, Cu, Cr, Fe, Mn, Zn)
- Review of influent/effluent results and adjustment of dose rates/treatment chemistries to ensure compliance
