LIQUID FLOC INJECTION & pH UNIT
Effective storm water management on construction projects involves purifying sediment contaminated water before discharging into natural waterways.
The Liquid Floc Injection &; pH Unit (LFI) works by releasing the liquified form of treatment chemistries including CO2, coagulant, or flocculants, inline with water coming into the system. The chemistry is agitated, mixed and subsequently transferred to tanks or clarifiers to begin solids separation.
Most models are available with automated dosing controls, telemetry, proportional dosing, or other site-specific controls.
Every Liquid Floc Injection & pH Unit (LFI) we provide includes the following features:
- Carbon steel housing.
- Steel piping.
- 45 psi maximum operating pressure.
- Auto shutdown.
- Flow sensor.
- Rigid industrial enclosure.
- UL approved components.
- Dispenses through metering pumps.
- Camlock fitting to connect pump with flocculant source.
- Easily adjustable to accommodate changes in flow rate.

GEL FLOCCULANT PASSIVE DOSING SYSTEMS (GelFloc)
Effective storm water management on construction projects involves purifying sediment contaminated water before discharging into natural waterways.
Stormtec Gel Flocculant Systems (GelFloc) are passive dosing systems. There are no heavy barrels of liquid chemicals to handle, and no electricity or metering pumps required for this system. It releases Chitosan, which is a natural biopolymer derived from crab and shrimp shells. In turbid water, it causes coagulation or sediment particles which then allows for gravity settling, biofiltration, sand filtration or bag filtration.
This versatile system addresses a wide variety of pollutant types including total suspended solids. They are easy to use – on-site staff can be trained to run these systems – and the dry formulation concentrate offer significant cost savings in shipping compared to liquid solutions.
They reduce turbidity in storm water, and suitable uses include:
- Pond recirculation – reducing settling time and turbidity.
- Settling tank – reducing settling time and turbidity.
- Sand filtration & settling tanks – to meet Department of Fisheries & Municipal regulations.
Every Gel Flocculant Passive Dosing System (GelFloc) we provide includes the following features:
- 100% Polyacrylamide-free.
- 100% Biodegradable through enzymatic activity.
