The Project was the installation of a Geothermal Field at the BCIT Campus in Burnaby to the east of Willingdon Ave. We provided the water treatment for the Geothermal Drilling Contractor, GeoTility. The type of drilling that GeoTility did on the site was air rotary drilling. The contractor wanted to try our treatment system to see if they could reduce their vacuum truck charges by treating the water onsite.
The initial step in the process involved pumping material into a bin and allowing it to decant, so the larger material could drop to the bottom. Water was then pumped from the bin and treated with our CS250e to adjust the pH inline. From there the water went to our GF600 where it was treated with a fast acting dual flocculent, an organic StormKlear product. Following flocculent treatment the water went into a filter bag housed in a bin. The filtered water in the bin was then pumped out and discharged to the storm sewer.
